Dear Owners of the Big News company’s, what this Country needs is real news, not slanted versions of it. Nor do we need talk show hosts to act like their shows are the news. There should be a disclaimer before and during those shows saying this is the hosts opinions or views. Not news but their personal take on the news. It is up too you the members of the Fourth Estate to do your jobs. Plan and simple just report the news, When or If President Obama or any other elected official does something good or bad, please just report the facts. In my humble opinion the first station to truly do this will have their ratings jump through the roof. FOX has tried but due to their talk show hosts or rather to the American Viewers not being able to tell the difference from the Talk Shows to the actually news hour, they have gained a reputation as reporting for the Right wing side of politics. What we need are neutral and unbiased news stations. Those that have the best story’s, which yes I know goes back to actually going out and finding the true story instead of sitting behind a desk, will have the best show as well as the best ratings. We don’t need to be told how something will affect us, we need to know what’s really in the bill or the news and we can make an informed decision on how it will affect us and what we need to do about it.
What I am asking for is simple, Please just report the news, and while I do enjoy watching Bill O. his show and those like his should carry disclaimers as I said before.
At this point in our Country’s history Americans are dying to find out the truth.
A perfect example in the lack of trust the American people have in you, is the birth certificate issue. Had anyone of you really investigated this, it would not be an issue, but instead you dismissed it as right wing nuts. While I do believe that President Obama is a natural born citizen, and thus qualify’s under our laws to be President, there are a lot of people who have doubts. Had you all done your jobs, there would be no doubts.
Americans are no longer a bunch of babies who need to be spoon feed, we can and do want the truth. Please take your lead from Alva Johnston, who in case you don’t know won the Pulitzer prize in 1922 not for any huge scoop but for reporting the news; accuracy, terseness and ” the accomplishment of some public good.
