Let’s start with the 900 million dollars going into Gaza, while it’s nice that we would like to help others. However this gives Hamas all the Credit or rather they will take the credit. Not only that but are we sure that they will spend all of that money on rebuilding? What happens when Hamas start firing rockets regularly into Israel again? Israel will respond in the same way it did the last time. It is safe to say that if one of the U.S.A.’s neighbors started firing rockets into one of our Towns, we would respond with force. If our Federal Government refused to do so than the Local’s would take care of it themselves.
In a letter to the President of Russia, Obama is alleged to have tried to tie Iran and the Missile defense program together. Stating that if Russia would help with Iran, the US would rethink the Missile defense system. What type of message does this send to our Allies? We have committed to delivering this system to them, and now we are starting to falter in our support?
Not sure how many people remember President Carter’s foreign policy, but Obama’s is starting to look a lot like it.
Look south of our border, the Drug Cartels now have a standing army, of about 130,000 men. Which is about the same size as the Mexican Army. Yet we have done very little to contain the Drug Cartels. There have been more deaths related to the drug Cartels in the past year, than US soldiers killed in Combat in Iraq for the entire war. There were 1000 deaths in January of this year alone. Granted these are not US Armed Forces that are dying, but civilians and local law enforcement. How long to people really expect this to stay mainly on the Mexican side of the border? It has already spilled over into the United States. This is a real threat to all of us, yet we are doing very little to stop this. If we are willing to send troops and launch missiles into Pakistan, why would we not target the Drug Cartels in Mexico?
