Originally charged with a felony, a conviction would have prevented McRae from legally owning a gun in the future. But he agreed to plead guilty to a misdemeanor, a charge that did not bar his ability to buy a firearm after he successfully completed probation.

Its not the laws on the books that need to be changed, they need to be enforced. To many times this happens and instead of looking at how it happened, people jump on the bandwagon that we need more gunlaws. When in fact we need to enforces the laws that we already have.
