The Founding Fathers gave all the power to the States to Govern not spelled out in the Constitution. The big reason for this is, at the time all of the laws where coming from 3000 miles away. Since 1776 when are Country declared independence we have grown into a much larger Country. However what was true back then is still true today. We do not want someone from California dictating laws to those in Maryland, or the other way around. The miles are still the same 3000, just like back in 1776. Its time for the Federal Government to get out of the way and allow the States to Govern like it says in the US Constitution.
The latest 2 laws that are being considered, Health care, and Cap-n-trade, crush state rights. Both bills if passed will be a violation of the Constitution. How can Congress, and if He signs them, the President violate their Oath Of Office? Does a persons word mean nothing to them now?
Congress does not seem to care what the people think or want. Provided we are still dumb enough to keep sending them back each election year. When will “We the People” put a stop to this madness? This is not a party issue this is a Country issue. Both parties have trampled the Constitution when it suited their needs or wants. The American People as well as the State Legislators have allowed this to happen. When are the Governors going to stand up to the Federal Government? The real question is why they wont, answer is simple, never as long as the Federal Government keeps sending them money. By them I mean their states of course. However what they are forgetting is this money is coming from the people of their state. So its money if really needed they could collect without the Federal Government.
