Here are just a few of the headlines from a local papers in my neck of the woods.
Attack on Teen at Game Replayed on Facebook
First, there was a fight during the third quarter of a high school football game in Silver Spring: Two teenage girls came barreling toward the pom squad leader, pushing her to the ground and hitting and kicking her, yelling something about a boy.
Within hours, a dark and blurry video of Friday night’s fight was posted on Facebook, soliciting line after line of “LOL” and “hahaha” comments. The attack was first reported by WJLA (Channel 7), which aired parts of the video.
On Wednesday, Montgomery County police charged the two teens with second-degree assault, said police spokeswoman Lucille Baur. The girls are 16 and 17 and have been charged as juveniles.
Police: Md. Health Worker Helped Juvenile Sex Offender Escape
A 26-year-old mental health worker at a Maryland treatment center helped a juvenile sex-offender escape custody this week, took him to her home and had sex with him, state police said Thursday.
The juvenile, who is 17, was back in custody after being picked up in Delaware, police said. He has been charged with escape. The mental health counselor, Tyra Greenfield, was charged with harboring and sexual child abuse.
“It’s an unusual case,” said Lt. James DeWees of the Maryland State Police. “And it’s a sad case, because this institution otherwise does very good work.”
The teen had been confined to the 26-bed New Directions Program at the Chesapeake Treatment Center in Baltimore County, which provides psychiatric treatment for juvenile sex offenders.

In some of these cases we can blame poor parenting, to be honest IMO we can blame poor parenting on all of them. Its time to get back to the basic’s of God, which is all about love. Until We as a Nation say no more, we are not going to tolarate it in our backyards, it will only get worse. Climate change, health care and any other bill they are debating in Congress right now, amounts to nothing, compared to bringing back the basics in Our Country. Without doing that first there will be no reason to worry about the rest. This is something that our Elected Official’s can’t solve by passing a bill. To be honest they pass a ton of bills, however most do more harm then good.
It’s up to us, the Adults, Parents and Teachers to say no more. Maybe England has something going on we should follow, if you neglect your children, they get taken away. Recently a Couple had 2 of their 6 or 7 children taken away because of obesity. Sounds harsh? Not to me anymore, in fact if they are not worrying about their kids health now, can you imagine whatelse they are not worrying about? We have papered our kids, seldom saying no to them, granting there wishes, (not everyone but as a Country we have) its time to be more like our parents where to us, or at least to me. Enough is enough, what’s it going to take to wake people up?
When will you get involved in something that we can change? We can change how we raise our children! There is no need to wait nor live in the “perfect” world that nothing bad will happen to your kids, because in fact it can and might. Wake up America, it will only take one bad night for you or someone you know to be living the nightmare……
